Will watched as Gavin through his coffee away. There was still half left of his own, but he could throw it away and save himself the calories. Gavin would never guess the difference. But, it wasn't like he cared what Will did. Though, Will was always cautious about it. What if Gavin did suspect something? No, he didn't. That would be impossible. So, Will threw his coffee in the trash to join Gavin's. He looked back at the other male and noted a thoughtful look upon his face. But, he was also chewing gum again, so that could add to the look. But, no, Gavin was definitely thinking about something. Will watched him quietly, before Gavin looked at him once more and asked a question he had not been expecting in the least.
Will's eyes widened for a second, before he put them back to their relaxed state. Why had Gavin so suddenly asked this? They weren't even on the subject, and he'd asked him. Was... was that a hint of something? No, definitely not. But, maybe it was! God, Will was so confused. Well, it couldn't hurt to name off a few of Gavin's traits, he didn't want to lie. "Well," Will began, scratching the back of his neck. "He's... nice. And helpful. And cute, really cute." God, Gavin didn't want to hear that. "Sorry, that was a little much," Will said before clearing his throat. "But, he's a really good person," Will added softly, looking back at Gavin, before blushing again and looking away. Blushes just had to come at inopportune moments.

Gavin did, in fact, notice that Will had thrown out half of his coffee. He once again thought maybe this meant something, but once again threw the idea away as just a theory. Besides, he had bigger problems on his mind now than Will's unfinished coffee. The expression on Will's face when he asked the idiotic question seemed to cement his fears that he now suspected. Will had to know he liked him by now. It probably bothered him, since he liked someone else and all. When he noticed the blush on Will's face though, he wasn't quite so sure. Normally he would have assumed that the blush simply came to his face because of the way he was talking about this guy. This time though, he couldn't help noticing that he had looked at him, blushed, then looked away. That didn't strike him as the sort of blush a person would give for being embarrassed about talking about the person they liked a little too much. But no, he was probably just imagining it. Besides, Will had described the guy. He gave a sort of halfhearted laugh, not wanting to let Will know that hearing about this guy made him unhappy. "Ah well that's good." He said with an equally halfhearted smile.

So, obviously, Gavin had either not taken in the hints, which could be a good or bad thing, or he had and it just made him uncomfortable. But, Will was pretty sure that it wasn't the second one. It was bad, because even if their was a chance, it probably just made him think that Will was into another guy. Though, it was also quite good, because then he wouldn't' have to worry about making a fool of himself. But, the smile and words that Gavin had given him definitely weren't full of much energy. they were quite lackluster and halfhearted. This was another confusing thing to Will. Why was he..saddend by this? "Yeah, " Will nodded in agreement. "But it won't work because he's not into guys," he added without thinking about it. God, now Gavin would know and it would make him feel uncomfortable and he would try to get out as soon as possible. If... if he did take in that it was him that Will was talking about.
Will didn't look at Gavin again, he'd just blush even more. "Umm, maybe we should leave," he said suddenly, looking around, but not letting his eyes ever rest on Gavin. He was getting a little bit woozy, he was pretty sure he just needed some fresh air. "Yeah, let's go," he said, making up his mind, beginning to head for the door.

Gavin took notice of the fact that Will was suddenly avoiding looking at him, right after making a comment about how the person he liked didn't like guys. Did that mean something? It couldn't... could it? Will changed the subject awfully quick, then headed out the door before Gavin could even react. He followed after his new friend, now incredibly curious about the way he was acting. "Yeah, a little fresh air would probably be nice." He mumbled. Once they reached the outside, he studied Will for a moment, thinking. Why was he suddenly acting so weird? He couldn't like Gavin. He really couldn't... But what if? He frowned for a moment, then had an idea. A question that could at least seem perfectly Innocent. "...whats the guy's name?" He asked. Yeah, the fact that he was still asking even after Will had quickly changed the subject might be a little odd, but he had to know if his hope just might be right.

Will exited the still crowded building through the door, taking in the air that surrounded him. It still had a hint of ocean smell to it, making it that much more calming. Although, at the moment, Will wasn't going t be easily calmed. He'd basically just told his feelings for the only guy he couldn't have, and also the guy he'd thought he'd have for a friend for a long time. But, after that, it was doubtful. Will crossed his lanky arms across his body, hugging himself. He could feel Gavin's eyes on him and he looked down. Well, he figured that Gavin would have run away by now. Though, maybe he hadn't realized it. Shit, if he hadn't walked away so quickly, Gavin might not have given it a second thought. But now, Gavin was asking his name. Either he knew... or he didn't. At the moment, he couldn't figure it out. "Just forget I said anything," Will said so quietly, he could barely hear his own self. "It's... it's no one. Just, forget it," he said, shaking his head again, but still looking away from Gavin.

Gavin looked at him for quite a bit of time as he said this. Why had he suddenly become so quiet and obviously unhappy? He had said the guy didn't like other guys... Was it possible he actually could like Gavin? Or was thinking of this boy he liked just painful for William? Gavin figured the latter, but still... he could never really know unless he asked right? Or perhaps there was an easier way around it.
"Well... you know, if this guy doesn't like you back... he's nuts in my opinion. Even if he's straight." The words left his mouth before he even really realized he was thinking them. He immediately regretted it and looked away, his face getting extremely warm as he blushed. What on earth had possessed him to make him say that? If Will hadn't suspected before that Gavin liked him. he was bound to know now!

Gavin was just as silent as he right after he'd said the words. He was probably by now getting freaked. He had to know by now, but yet, he was still there. He wasn't freaking out on him, he wasn't making him feel stupid. But, he also wasn't saying anything. Though, neither was Will. And it made him nervous. He was nervous often around Gavin. But, that's what you got when you liked someone. Especially for Will. He hadn't had that feeling in two years, and he'd missed it.
As Gavin finally did say something, Will finally looked at him. But, now he was looking away. What had his words meant? Or did he even mean anything. He was probably just trying to make feel better about it. So, then why was he blushing? "What are you saying?" Will asked him softly, kindly, and curiously. There were a lot of things it could mean, but there was only one he wanted it to.

Gavin didn't know what to do. Should he make up an excuse? Should he be honest? An excuse would just leave them in the same place they were, constantly getting into awkward moments, then joking around to erase the awkwardness. It wasn't a cycle he liked. Being honest could result in the good, which was Will liking him back, or the bad, which was Will being disgusted and no longer wanting to be around him. He thought about it, then finally decided that he had already gone too far to back out. Besides, how would he ever know why might have happened if he didn't take a chance?
"What I'm saying is... that... well, if it was me... I certainly wouldn't pass you up." He couldn't quite believe he had just said that. Although he knew he had said it, it still felt to Gavin like he had simply been thinking it. Swallowing hard, he looked up at Will and tried to calm his body. Why did he have to chose now to start shaking? Was he really THAT nervous about Will's reaction? He was screwed.

Whatever it as that Gavin had to say must have been pretty difficult to think of, or terribly hard to say. Or, perhaps both. Will could tell he was thinking again, and thinking hard. If it had to take him this long just to find a reply, then maybe it was something good in Will's favor. Or, maybe it wasn't. He crossed his arms tighter around his stomach and waited with baited breath for Gavin's reply.
When it came, Will was shocked. Gavin had admitted that he liked him, hadn't he? Wasn't that what he'd said, or was it not at all? He was probably once again just trying to make him feel better. But, Gavin didn't seem like one to say something like that for it to mean nothing. Will took a step closer to him. "Do... do you really mean that?" he asked him, still softly, but with an insurmountable amount of hope in his voice. Will bit his lip and took a deep breath. He seemed to be doing that a lot. "Because, it is you." Will blushed so much that he was pretty sure that he looked like a tomato, though kept his eyes on Gavin. But, he'd done it. He'd admitted his feelings for the other boy, and all he wanted was for them to be returned. He wanted it more than anything.

Gavin didn't really know how he had expected Will to react when he said that, but somehow, the reaction he got wasn't what he'd been expecting at all. His insides felt vaguely like someone had stolen his organs and replaced them with something not unlike a warm sort of jello. He felt a numbness, but not a cold one, and he couldn't stop the shaking. Despite the fact that the describing it really couldn't make it sound good, the feeling was not unpleasent. In fact, in a strange way, it was great. He opened his mouth to reply, but couldn't get any words out, no matter how hard he tried. Unable to tell him that he really meant it, he decided to try and use his actions to show it. He stepped closer to Will, so that they were only really a few inches apart. He had been planning to kiss him, but when he actually got close enough to do it, his resolve failed. He simply couldn't. Much as he wanted to, he was far too nervous, so instead, he simply nodded, not taking his eyes off of Will.

Will could vaguely see that Gavin was shaking. Whether it was out of anger or surprise, or something else, Will didn't know. He was just worried that now Gavin was going to walk away from him, and leave him there feeling more stupid than he already did. Why had he even bothered to tell him? He'd actually convinced himself that Gavin liked him. It was idiotic of him. He was about to turn away from him, when Gavin stepped forward. He was close enough that Will could study every part of his face. Maybe he hadn't been so stupid, maybe Gavin actually did like him. It wasn't just his imagination having an imagination. Gavin was about to kiss him. Will waited for it, but it didn't come. He studied Gavin again and could see nervousness and hesitation in his eyes. Will smiled to himself and stepped even closer to the other male. If Gavin wasn't going to, then Will would have to. That is, if Gavin was even going to kiss him in the first place. That was the only thing it could be. It had to be. And, if it wasn't, oh well. He'd screwed up. Will raised his hand to the side of Gavin's face and kissed him gently on the lips, before pulling back, his hands as well, and waited for Gavin's reaction.

It took quite a bit of resolve not to turn and run after that kiss. It wasn't that Gavin hadn't liked it. No, he had liked it quite a lot. Still, the idea of liking or possibly being with a guy was just so new to him. He didn't really know how to handle himself or how to react. Plus he was just plain scared. He swallowed and managed to draw a shakey breath. "Um... that was... well..." He couldn't seem to formulate a coherent sentance, and he knew his mumblings probably didn't sound complimentary. He certainly didn't want Will to think the kiss had bothered him in any way, or that he was angry, or wierded out. Taking another steadying breath, Gavin leaned forward and kissed him back. He only kept his lips against Will's for a few seconds before pulling away, not having the resolve to keep it up. He had done what he had set out to do, though, and he managed a weak smile.

He realized that it probably wasn't the best idea to push him into it that quickly. If Gavin hadn't been ready to kiss him, then he shouldn't have made him. It was a bold, too bold, move made by him and he'd just ruined the friendship he was hoping to have with Gavin. If he hadn't done it, than they'd just go back to that weird cycle, but at least Gavin wouldn't be freaked out by him. Will closed his eyes, angry at himself and opened them to look at Gavin again. He was just standing there, quite dumbfounded. If Will hadn't been in this situation, he would actually find it quite funny. But, at the moment, it definitely was not. Will was about apologize, when Gavin's lips connected with his own once more. Now it was Will's turn to be a bit confused. But, at Gavin's very small smile, Will couldn't help but smile back. His was a little bit wider than Gavin's, though. "I can see how this freaks you out a little bit..." he told him quietly and apologetically. Gavin had never been with another guy before. And, from how he was acting, he didn't seem like he'd ever liked a guy before this. That would take a lot of getting used to. Will looked down and sighed. He looked back up, his lip being bitten by hit top teeth. "I'm sorry."

Gavin couldn't quite figure out why Will was apologizing. Apparently Will was under the impression that he had done something wrong, and that bothered Gavin. He had encouraged Will's actions and even returned them. So why was Will sorry? "Don't be sorry." He said quickly, finally finding his voice, and managing to speak with only a slightly wavering tone. "I mean... yeah it does freak me out a little but um... in a sort of good way, you know? Like, it's freaky but I like it and... stuff." He was babbling a little bit and he knew it, but he couldn't seem to shut himself up. "I mean like, I've just kind of never really done anything like this before ya know and um..." He went quiet, finally able to shut his mouth. He knew he had probably just made himself look like a babbling fool, but he hadn't been able to help it.

Will was relieved to hear Gavin tell him to not be sorry. He didn't want to have to be sorry for kissing him, and he really didn't think that was the reason he'd even said it. He felt that maybe he'd made Gavin have to kiss him back, like he was obliged to do so, and he hadn't wanted to push him. But, from Gavin's next words, it didn't seem like what Will had been thinking. He knew that it freaked him out, he completely understood that. Like, he found kissing girls quite gross, just the thought of their lips on his was repulsive. So, kissing another guy, for Gavin was completely knew, and he figured, something he'd never, ever thought about. So, Will couldn't help but smirk as Gavin babbled out those words. "Even though what you said was kind of confusing, I get it," Will assured him, a smirk still plastered on his face.
