Peyton nodded, a smile planted on her face. "I love that movie! That's my favorite part when Tom and Sean have that conversation, I usually allways say 'I hear its raining cats and dogs in Idaho' but last time I said it the person just walked away" she said with a tiny giggle. Aside from a few other moves it was her favorite. She would probably, after this, go home and watch that video on the couch.

A wide grin crossed his face as well. For some reason, it made him extremely happy that she loved that movie too. "I love quoting it! That and the bit where Riff claims to need to go to the hospital for immediate blood transfusions. I use that on people a lot and they end up getting mad at me. Then I laugh at their anger." He did have quite a habit of getting people mad at him. He liked being obnoxious and a lot of his past friends hadn't enjoyed that quality about him. He was usually considered well liked but slightly annoying as a result.

The smile wasn't going anywhere, it would probably just stay planted on her face for the remainder of the time. "Every line in that movie is a classic," she said, letting out another tiny giggle just thinking about it "it's a shame that not many people know about it though, you know? It actually kinda pisses me off when people are only into like the really bad mainstream stuff and never hear about these movies or bands. I mean I like some mainstream but honestly it's just depressing..." her voice trailed off, she began to realize she was probably talking too much. However at this point she didn't really give a damn. "Psht, kids these days" she said rolling her eyes then laughing at herself again. One thing she did not do was take herself too seriously.

"I know what you mean. Most people I know like, just listen to whatevers on the radio and don't even bother looking to find what they like. Because of that they pass up great ass movies like that, and some really great bands! I dunno though." Holden gave a slight shrug, then laughed at her comment about 'kid's these days.' He could play along with that one. "You're absolutely right! Why when I was young I had to walk a MILE to school, in blizzards! Kids these days just don't have any character." He let out a tiny giggle after he said this.

Peyton started to laugh at that last part. "Yeah, they don't know how easy they got it. When I was young we didn't have them fancy cellular telephones" she just shook her head in a disapproving way, laughing at herself again. "Ok, let's stop with that or else we won't be able to later" she said still laughing.

Holden gave a small laugh and smiled at her. "Yeah I mean, we shouldn't get carried away talking like cranky old people." He sometimes did get carried away with little jokes. At one point he and his friend spent a day saying 'and shit' after ever sentance, and he ended up getting so used to it that he had to remind himself not to say it to teachers while he was at school for about a week. Of course, this wasn't exactly the same. He and Peyton had spent about five minutes on this joke, not a whole day like he and his friend did at the time. Those were two entirely different circumstances.

She laughed, "Well... Old people are funny" she said "not as funny as Asians though" she said with a tiny shrug. She was enjoying this conversation, even if it was going no where fast it was still nice. She smiled at the boy again then glanced back over to Joey. She gave a tiny laugh at the same children stil daunting over the dog, Peyton was beginning to wonder if the dog was getting tired of their abuse. She looked back over to Holden, the small grin still there.

Holden was looking at Joey, wondering the same thing Peyton had been wondering. The dog now had several hair ties in its fur, and the little girls seemed dead set on giving him a complete make over. He still seemed happy, but even for a hyperactive border collie mix, this was too much. He was plainly getting tired. "You think maybe we should rescue him from his ladies?" He questioned Peyton, as he dragged his feet int he wood chips to stop the swing. He felt bad for the dog, and the question didn't really require an answer. He already planned to go get him.

Peyton nodded, looking back over at the dog. She would not want to be in his place at all right now, not because she hated kids or people messing with her hair but because... Well, she hated kids... And people messing with her hair, she was allowed to be girly every once in a while. Especially with hair. She laughed slightly looking back over at Holden, "Yeah we really should" she said with a small laugh.

Holden hopped off the swing and headed over to the sandbox, where the dog was still tied. After apologizing to the girls and explaining that their playmate needed to leave, he untied Joey's leash and brought the obviously thankful dog back over to the swings and Peyton. "He's getting really tired. I'm amazed. I've never seen him tired." It was true. In his time here, since he had met the dog, it had always moved as if it had springs on its feet. Perhaps little kids could tire anyone out, even a dog that acted like he was half jet.

She leaned down to pet Joey, glancing up at Holden, "He's still pretty lively," she said, she grabbed the chains of the swing again, "but a lot less than before. It's the kids man, little kids just...." She scoffed, "I don't like kids," she said shaking her head. She didn't know why she needed to tell him that, she just reall disliked young children.

Holden patted the dog, then got a small container of water out of his hoodie pocket. You know, like one of those kick ass portable dog water bowls? One of those. Yeah, he so had one of those. He opened it and set it on the ground, where Joey immediately started lapping it up. "Yeah, kid's can be a handful, and pretty tiring. I dunno. I used to hate kids but I'm starting to really love them. They can be so cool sometimes."

Peyton nodded, a small smile on her face as she watched the dog lap up the water like he hadn't seen any in monts. "Yeah, some are cool..." she said "I used to work with kids and it completely changed my perspective on ever wanting any" she said. Peyton just shook her head, giving a tiny giggle. She looked up at Holden, giving a feint smile but quickly diverted her eyes back to the ground.

"Some kid's can be real little terrors, but in general they seem to kick butt." He watched her smile and look away, and his own smile widened. Her's was just sort of infectious. Not to mention pretty cute. Not to mention Holden was a bit of a sucker for pretty girls. Actually, that was the understatement of the century. Girls were probably his favorite thing on the planet. He loved the way they talked, the way they laughed, the way they smiled. Hell, he loved everything about them. And one thing he could certainly say about Peyton was that she was pretty. Nice and funny too of course, but also pretty.

Peyton nodded, her big green eyes looked up at him again, "Yeah, my neice is pretty rad, I mean she hates me and my other cousin Josh but she's so cute. Josh has those sleeve tattoos, ya know? And some are based on Nightmare Before Christmas and ones like this warped out christmas tree and whenever she sees it she says 'hoho like it's christmas" she said. She gave a tiny giggle at the story, she hated that she was rambeling but loved that story, "And I'm also teaching my other neice, whose like three, bands like I'll show her a picture of The Clash and she'll sing London Calling." She gave another giggle and stopped talking, figuring he had probably heard enough.
