Peyton laughed at the boy and his energy. She was happy she had met him, it had definatley taken the dark cloud over her day, metaphoricly; the rain clouds still threatened the park. "I'm just starting there too, and yeah senior. I think its odd that I'm starting at a school that I'll be at for a year, please tell me you'll be one too" she pleaded with a tiny giggle.

"Yep! I'll be a senior this year. We'll be new senior buddies! Woohoo!" As he cheered, he put his arms up in the air, forgetting that it was often a good idea to hold onto the chains on the swing when one is actually swinging. Naturally, he ended up on his back in the wood chips, his legs still half on the swing. He lay there, laughing for probably a full minute before he calmed down enough to wiggle his legs off of the swing and get to his feet. Brushing the wood chips off of the back of his pants and his hoodie, he grinned sheepishly at her. "If you hadn't noticed, I'm a klutz, even when I'm not being dragged by a rocket ship dog." He finished off his cleaning job by emptying the wood chips from his hood, then sat himself back down on the swing, this time keeping a firm hold on the chains.

Peyton smiled, happy he would be in the same grade. She reached over to give him a highfive but missed him by a split second to watch him fall. She slowed the swing down, half laughing half concerned. "No I'm worse don't worry, I mean it's not klutzy but I stutter, I have an ugly Boston accent, I make things awkward and I talk too much... Just like now," she said, looking over at him as he got himself up. She smiled again at him, trying not to laugh.

Holden studied her face for a moment, then crossed his arms, this time stopping the swing before he let go. "Oh go ahead. Laugh. You know you want to." He said with a long sigh, obviously pretending to be annoyed. This show of annoyance didn't last long though, as a smile quickly broke out on his face and he went ahead and laughed at himself. "And you don't have an ugly Boston accent. Well, not an ugly one at least." He giggled. "I'm not sure if a Boston one is preferable to one of those Canadian ones. Though truth be told I actually kinda wish I had that full fledged, stereotypical Canadian accent. You know, with like, aboot and eh? That would kinda rock. I've not heard anyone here say eh, but I have noticed a couple of very slight aboots. They make me happy."

Peyton slowed the swing down to a stop. She stared him down, trying to keep a straight face. She just started to crack up, "I'm sorry but it was really funny" she said between laughs. Peyton laughed again. "Oh come on, it's ugly... I can't even say water right it comes out like 'wata'" she laughed at her own stupidity and looked at him again. "I like Canadian accents, they make me smile but I love French accents, some are sexy and others are just plain hilarious."

"Yeah, yeah laugh it up buddy." Holden said, still pretending to be annoyed but not trying even in the slightest to be convincing about it. "Yep! Those thick heavy French accents are fucking hilarious. I lived with a guy when I was about seven who had this reaaaally thick French accent. I always laughed at him when he talked... which come to think of it, is probably why he decided he didn't want me anymore." He went silent, as if contemplating this new revelation he had just had, then shrugged. "Ah well. Not like I'd have ever been able to take him seriously as a father figure. He had a really funny mustache too, you know, one of those really damn thick ones? That paired with the accent, and he had me in hysterics every time he tried to scold me or order me to do something."

"Hah! You'd love my friend Hayden, he's got a french accent, I mean I think it's kinda sexy sometimes and I tease him about it but it makes me giggle and I can never take the poor boy seriously." She listened to the boy tell his tiny story. She guessed he was adopted or something but really didn't want to ask for fear of awkwardness. She couldn't help but laugh though. "Moustaches are allways funny too, especially when people have tiny moustaches tattooed on their finger and they go around and put their finger under random people's noses."

"Oh man he sounds pretty awesome then. I mean a french accent basically moves anyone up the awesome scale a few notches." Holden replied. It occured to him now that his story might have made her a bit curious about his past, but he decided not to say anything. She hadn't asked, and although it really didn't bother him that much, he didn't like to tell people about it uninvited. "You know, I've never heard of someone tattooing a moustache on their finger and doing that. It sounds fucking cool though, wish I'd been the first ever person to think of it. Bet I'd be pretty damn famous." He gave a little laugh.

Peyton nodded, starting to swing again. "I love when people do that, some of my friends back in Boston would do it and we'd video tape them running around the city moustaching random people it was absolutley brilliant!" she said with a smile.

Shaking his head slightly, Holden let out a laugh. "That sounds so stupid and funny at the same time. I feel bad for the people you did it to. I bet they were really confused. That would be fun to do sometime, but probably not as cool as in a big city where people are like, everywhere. I mean that'd be fun to do in New York. Except theres always the chance you'll piss someone off and they'll stab you..." He frowned slightly, then laughed after a moment. "Ah well, just makes it a more thrilling game!"

Peyton nodded "Usually they just laughed because they saw the moustace, but one guy almost punched my friend once so that was kinda bad" she said with a tiny shrug. She looked over at Joey again, letting out a tiny laugh at the little children fawning over him. She looked back over at Holden, a small smile on her face.

"Well it's kind of like extreme live action frogger, in which you try to run across multiple lanes of highway!" Holden laughed yet again, and followed her gaze to Joey. The dog was being worshiped by many children, including two little girls who were putting hair ties in his longish fur. "Look at him. Such a pimp, letting the ladies fawn over him like that. He's just Mr Popular isn't he?"

"Hellz yeah he is," she said looking over to the dog again. She laughed; there was a pause. "So.... Just for the sake of filling in the silence" sh estarted, looking for something to say, "Uhm... Do you play anything?" she asked him, letting out another tiny giggle.

"Pimp dog. He's like Pete Wentz's dog Hemmingway. Keeping his pimp paw strong." Holden laughed, then took in her question. He took a moment, trying to decide what she meant by playing, then decided to just ask. Just asking always helps. "By playing do you mean like sports or like an instrument?" He questioned. He could have just answered both but he didn't feel like it.

"He's better than Hamingway... Well, actually I dunno U've never met Hem so I couldn't pass judgement." she looked back to Holden. "Well, origionally I meant instruments but my mind just went 'hey you can play sports too!'" she laughed at her own stupidity yet again.
