Will nodded as though he understood exactly what Gavin was talking about, when in reality, he wasn't sure what he'd said. There were a lot of numbers mixed in there and he was getting confused. But, as far as he could tell from what he could understand, it couldn't be more than twenty minutes. Walking. Will liked walking, he always kind of had. It was so much more resourceful, and it was healthier. Healthier was always good. He thought about this as he sifted the things Gavin had said through his mind. He still wasn't certain what he'd said. "Gavin," he said, looking at him solemnly. "That was a shit load of talking, and I'm still not sure what you said."

Gavin gave an embarrassed laugh and blushed. Again. What was wrong with him? He had a feeling he had blushed more in the last twenty four hours than he had in his entire life. It seemed like he was blushing every five minutes around the guy, even though that was really an exaggeration. "Sorry. I mean, I have no idea how far it is, but I think it's sometime more than five minutes, and some time less than twenty five minutes." He grinned and scratched the back of his head, still obviously embarrassed at his little ramble of what was apparently nonsense. It hadn't felt like he'd made no sense, but looking back at it, he really had just spouted out a stream of consciousness that made sense in his head but not as much when he said it.

Will noticed his sudden embarrassment again and pondered what it could mean, again, Just, to him, Gavin didn't seem like the kind of guy who usually got flustered, Why he thought this, he wasn't completely sure. Especially due to the fact that he'd only known him a few hours, and most of those he'd been passed out, or nearly. But, there was just an discomfort in Gavin's voice, and he didn't know why. Maybe he was now drawing conclusions, but Gavin was getting unusually flustered by everything he said around him. But, Will felt it best to shrug this off as well. He'd been shrugging a lot of things off that morning. "Okey dokey," he said cheerfully. "That makes a lot more sense." Will looked down at the apple that now looked like it was quite mushy, before glancing at Gavin's still slightly blushed face. "Things within walking distance is what I love about smaller towns," he nodded. Yeah, that was sure interesting. He mentally bashed his forehead for stating something so... simple.

"Glad I made more sense this time." Gavin said with a giggle. "And yeah, smaller towns do tend to mean shorter walking distances." He said in a playfully teasing voice at the obviousness of Will's statement. "Well, why don't we head over to the Starbucks then?" He suggested, getting to his feet. He felt the strangest urge to offer Will a hand to help him up, but resisted. It would just be wierd, after all, no one needed help getting up off of a chair. The floor, that would have been normal, but a chair? He still didn't really know what was wrong with him. All he knew was that he didn't like it. Well, part of him liked it. But most of him still didn't.

Will pouted as his teasing voice; he already felt bad enough for saying it. Though, he didn't really care. He knew Gavin was joking, and he knew it was a stupid statement to have made. But, still he felt like an imbecile for even mentioning it. God, he had never cared what guys thought of him this much. And, he finds a guy he's actually interested in, the way that made him think about everything he did after he'd done it, and the guy wasn't into other guys. It was a stupid situation, and Will had to give up the idea that Gavin could ever like him back. "God, coffee does sound really good right now," Will nodded suddenly as he stood up from the chair. He pushed it back under the table and looked around. "Front door is...?" He wasn't saying this rudely, he really was wondering where the front door was. "Unless you don't use the front door. You know, I've met people who don't and I personally find it kind of weird," he shrugged. "But, no offense if you don't," he added suddenly.

Gavin laughed slightly at the sudden rush of words out of Will's mouth. Was it just him, or was Will the one that was kind of flustered now? He smirked slightly at the thought, then forced the smirk away. Why was he happy that William seemed flustered? Was it because it led him to believe Will might kind of have a thing for him? That could be why he seemed sort of nervous. But that shoudn't make him happy. It really shouldn't. There was nothing wrong if Will liked him, but he shouldn't WANT Will to like him. He grimaced, annoyed at the confusion going through his mind, and shook his head, before forcing another smile and looking at Will. "Coffee it is then. And yeah, I use my front door. It's this way." He headed into the hall and over to the front door, which was not far away.

OK, so maybe he'd gotten a little nervous, not wanting to insult Gavin. Normally, he'd easily joke with any other guy, any other person, and he had been partially joking earlier, but if he did happen to get flustered, he got quiet flustered. He'd already gotten his hopes up, so why did he still care? He wasn't making much sense to him at the moment. Will sighed and ran a hand thorough his remotely long hair as he followed Gavin to the front door. He'd stayed a little bit behind him so that Gavin couldn't hear the sigh. Once the reached the door, which was basically right across the hall, Will had to let out a small smile. "Oh, it's right there." He laughed a little, but realized how out he was the night before. He still owed Gavin a lot for that. That was when he realized something. "Wait, you paid for my tab last night, didn't you? OK, I'm paying you back," he said, struggling to take his wallet from his pocket. "I'm paying you right now, so I don't forget. I tend to do that a lot. How much was it?" This all came out pretty quickly. It wasn't that he was nervous or flustered this time, he simply felt horrible for making Gavin pay for his drinks.

"Yeah the door is right there, and don't worry about it." Gavin said quickly. He didn't quite know why, but he didn't want Will to pay him back. In fact, if Will tried, he would probably find a way to sneak the money back in his wallet, or just plain refuse. Still, he knew he would probably feel bad if he had done the same thing to Will, so he thought about a way he could keep him from feeling bad without paying him back. "Here's an idea, you can pay for my coffee and we'll call it even, okay? I mean, I don't even remember how much the tab came out to, but I don't think it was much." That was a lie, he did remember, and it hadn't been all that cheep, but he certainly wasn't going to tell him that. Not if he wanted to keep him from paying back.

Why was he insistent on Will not paying for the tab? He felt like it was the best thing to do, he had plenty of money to pay for it. He was more than willing to pay for his tab, yet Gavin had told him not to. And, he knew that paying for the coffee wasn't going to cover it. Will wasn't stupid, he knew how much a beer cost at that bar. He knew it wasn't cheap, unless Gavin's idea of cheap was a lot different than his. He highly doubted that, though. It wasn't cheap and Will knew it. But, he also knew better than to argue with someone about money. If they didn't want to take it, don't be insistent on it. Things will just get awkward and heated. He knew this from experience. Several experiences. Will sighed, brushed a piece of hair from his face, and finally gave up. "Fine, I'll pay for the coffee, but I'll still feel guilty. It's a win-win situation," he shrugged, not trying to hold back that little smile that was popping it's way out.

Gavin gave a laugh as he opened the front door and held it open for Will. "Yes it is a win win situation. And stop feeling guilty, I'm saving you money you shouldn't complain." He ordered, sticking his tongue out at him in a childish manner, then laughing slightly again. "I'm really hoping I wasn't wildly incorrect with my guess about how far we are from downtown. I mean, it wouldn't be fun if the walk actually took like an hour." He shook his head slightly, cursing the fact that he was so bad at judging time and distance. It was embarrassing, and once again, he found that he didn't want to look bad in front of Will. He never even considered it possible for himself to look bad before, but now he was constantly mentally slapping himself for doing things that made him look like a moron.

He wasn't trying to complain, he just really hated taking advantage of people. Even if he didn't do it purposefully. He hated for a person to take pity on him or to go out of their way for him. He knew he should take care of himself, that he should stop being so reliant. Well, he really wasn't that reliant on people, but it was what he'd convinced himself. That he could rely on everyone to help him. But, Gavin had been there and he had helped him. And he would still be grateful for that. Except if Gavin kept sticking his tongue out at him. At which Will gave a childish face right back. The corners of his lips turned down and he made a very angry face. But, even if he tried to, he couldn't look scary. He just looked kind of odd. He lost the looked and just smiled as he walked out of the door that Gavin had opened before him. "Ah well, walking's not so hard. Even if it ends up being an hour, we'll be fine. As long as we don't get attacked by like... ninjas," he suggested. "But, it definitely can't be too far," he said, stretching his arms above his head.

"Yeah, ninjas would definately be a problem. But I mean, it could be worse. We could get attacked by pirates." Gavin shut the door and followed William, a grin plastered on his face. He couldn't help looking sort of intently when Will stretched, but eventually managed to tear his eyes away and take in the scenery instead. Well, for the most part. His eyes still wandered back to Will rather frequently. Not that he would admit that he was doing this, not even to himself. "And yeah, I really do think it's only like ten minutes." He tried to sound confident, but failed miserably. He really wasn't sure at all. still, he knew the general direction, so he headed that way, still often glancing William's way, much as he tried to keep his eyes on the road and the houses they passed.

Will laughed and nodded, bringing his arms back to rest at his sides. Both ninjas and pirates would be unfortunate to come across. "True, they have swords and could mug you. Ninjas will just beat your face in. And the rest of you," he grinned. Was it just him or had Gavin's eyes been studying him as he's stretched? No, obviously it was just him and his completely pathetic hopeful imagination. He was letting it get the best of him, and he needed to stop it. Will laughed lightly again at Gavin's very obviously doubtful voice. "You don't sound so sure," he grinned at him, before looking back at the houses the stretched in front of them as they walked. At points he could feel Gavin's eyes on him, but he'd look toward him and Gavin would be looking ahead. Damn that imagination!

"Yeah. I mean, pirates are more violent, what with the raping and pillaging that they do. Ninjas are just like, keepers of the peace usually, I think at least." He sort of shrugged and kept walking. Will definitely noticed the fact that he kept looking at him, every time he chanced a glance, Will looked right as he managed to look away. Crap. What if Will was on to him? Wait. No. On to him about what? There was nothing to be onto him about. He certainly didn't like him or anything like that, and he was only looking at him because he was glancing around in general, and just happened to glance in his direction occasionally. That was all. Sure he was in denial, but he was planning on staying in denial. "Yeah... I really have no idea how long it will take." He admitted with an embarrassed grin. He knew he was obviously embarrassed, but he was thankful that this time the embarrassment wasn't accompanied by a blush.

Gavin was right. Basically, in any sense, pirates were bad news. There wasn't a good one in the lot. They sure liked gold. Now, ninjas, either they could be peach keepers, or they could be murderous, greedy monsters, killing your whole family in the middle of the night. Will really needed to stop watching those awesome samurai movies. but, he doubted he'd be able to. They were too much fun. Will had the oddest taste in movies, ever. He hated horror and comedy movies, loved samurai movies as well as romances and musicals. Yeah, he knew it was different, but he liked what he liked. In more senses than just movies. Will smiled understandingly, even if he only had looked at Gavin for a second. Will wasn't trying to look at Gavin, but when Gavin looked at him he couldn't help but to look back, though Gavin had turned by then. He didn't want to freak Gavin out, so he figured it was best to keep his glances to the things in front of him than the things beside him. "Hey, it's OK, chill," Will said, shaking his head gently before gingerly, playfully, punching Gavin's arm.
