Of all the places that he could have gone to on that day, he's chosen the beach. It seemed like a good idea at the time. But, it wasn't exactly that warm on this day. But, somehow he'd ended up there. Wearing a pair of green shorts with a white stripe down the side, yeah, rather girly, but they reached his knees, well, almost, he walked onto the beach. Yes, he was wearing a shirt! Don't be stupid! His mother would never, ever, in a million years, let him out of the house without a shirt on. He was wearing a black tee shirt with green writing scribbled on it. Yeah, he'd basically just grabbed the first articles of clothing that he'd spotted. Yet, somehow they matched. Oh well. Mitchel walked onto the beach, looking around a little bit. It wasn't the greatest day to be there. In fact, there wasn't very many people there. Well, that was alright. Actually, he'd kind of wished that he'd taken this day to go and do some major running. But, it was too late now. He was already there. And you'd think it'd be odd fora guy to carry a backpack around with him, right? Well, he was carrying one. In fact, it had Spiderman on it. Just because he was that cool!
The beach was actually a really nice place. Sure, it was nothing at all like the beaches that you'd find in California or Florida, or even in the Carribean. But, it was really nice, none the less. People enjoyed coming to the beach, so it was always a good thing that there was one near by. In fact, in Canada, it was sometimes quite hard to find beaches. But, everything was always good. He enjoyed being at the beach. Wandering along the sand, Mitchel finally sat himself down on a bench. Well, he could sit there for a bit, and if it got warmer, he'd go swimming. Yes, in what he was wearing. Well, no, he'd take of the shirt. But, he was fine swimming in his shorts. Or his boxers. Whichever. It didn't make all that much of a difference to him. Mitchel looked around a little bit for the second time. Yeah, it was like... really deserted. It seemed a little bit sad to him. Like, it was almost as though nobody liked the beach when it wasn't scorching hot. Oh man, he would hate to be one of the grains of sand. Or even a molicule on that grain of sand. He wouldn't even want to be a molicule on a molicule. Or the molicule on that molicule. Or, alright...Let's stop this madness!
Well, it was safe to say that the day was going by extremely slowly. And it was a killer on the whole concept of "a fun outing." Because, truth was, it wasn't fun. In the least. It was actually really boring. Sighing, Mitchel leaned back in the bench. He'd gotten out of bed and staggered out of the house for this? Eh. Well, at least he was outside in the fresh air. That was better than just lying on the couch and flicking through the channels of the television in the nice air conditioned basement. Now that he thought of it, actually, that didn't exactly sound that bad. Oh, wow. Well, too late now. One of his brothers had probably ended up snatching the television so he wouldn't get to watch what he wanted anyways. And there probably wasn't any room to sit down there because both his brothers were probably sprawled out on the couches. Oh well. At least his parents couldn't say that he was lazy. Because, the matter was, he wasn't all that lazy. He went out mostly every day. And at night he also went out. Not that his parents would know that. Although, sometimes, aw a lie, and feeling bad for sneaking out, he would lie. Just say that he was staying at Emotion's the night. But, well, they didn't suspect a thing!

Lili always wondered why there were so little people at the beach. It was nearly almost vacant, no people surfing or swimming or sunbathing. But, it was kind of true that Canada wasn't the best place to sunbathe. Or swim, for that matter. There were a lot of warmer things that Canada restricted one from doing. But, Lili didn't particularly mind. She'd always kind of favored cold weather over hot. Hot weather made you sticky and sweaty and it wasn't all that much fun. Plus, her makeup would run really badly. But, don't get the wrong impression. She wasn't that high maintenance. Not at all. And, if it did start to run, she wouldn't freak out. But, she just didn't particularly want for it to happen. So, the cold was better for her. And, another plus is that you can always add more close when it's cold. If it's hot, you can't get any less than naked, and that's illegal in town. So, she saw it that there were a lot more pros to it being cool in Canada than cons.
But, because of the slightly chilly breeze, Lili had decided to adorn herself with a pink and blue Hello Kitty jacket she'd bought a few days previous at Hot Topic. It had already become her favorite. If anybody dissed Hello Kitty, well, they weren't very high in her book. Beneath the jacket, she wore layered pink and purple tank tops and a pair of her ever present skinny jeans. She was a short girl, she had heard it from a lot of people. Anything to make her look taller, she would take. Especially if they were as cute as skinny jeans. Below said jeans, she wore her favorite pair of black ballet flats. For the beach, flip flops might have been better, but she loved her flats. They were comfortable and made walking around easier than flip flops often did. Of course, beneath all this, Lili wore her swim suit, just in case she got up enough nerve to jump in.
The only reason Lili had even come today was because she needed to get out of the house. It always smelled like old people. Well, it would make since because she lived with her grandparents, but she didn't particularly like the smell of old people. She'd had to live with it from the time she was 8, and it still smelled the same. Her grandparents were plenty nice, but lost in a previous decade. Lili wasn't going to try and inform them of anything new. Like, cell phones and that sort. She'd bought her own, they gave her the money to pay for it, but she'd done it. They never would have gotten it. There were a lot of things she missed because she lived with her grandparents, but they were great people, so it should really matter. But, she liked being out of the house. She wasn't sure what Kaysun was doing that day, because she hadn't called her, and her new found boyfriend, Caytlinn, had some business to attend to. She wasn't really sure what he'd meant by that. So, Lili had to find something to occupy her time, and the beach was the only thing she could think of. She sighed as she ran a hand through her shoulder length black hair, before looking around at the few people that were there. But, the first thing she spotted wasn't a person. Not really. It was Spiderman. A Spiderman backpack. She then focused her eyes to what sat beside it, and it was a boy. A pretty cute boy that seemed about her age. And he had Spiderman backpack. She as pretty definite that she simply ad to talk to him. She plastered a smile on her face, before making her way up the beach to the bench were the boy sat. Without asking if it was alright, she sat down beside him, but not close enough to make him uncomfortable. "I like your backpack," she said, the smile still adorning her face. What? She really did like it.

Pigeons. That's what he was thinking about at that very moment there. They were pretty interesting birds, if you thought about it. Well, for the most part. They were usually found sitting on buildings, though. For example, if you went to the school, you'd see a bunch on the roof. And in classes, you could usually see them sitting on the ledge of the school. It was pretty wicked. But, anyways. He liked pigeons, Mitchel did. They were sort of cute in a less than charming type of way. The bad thing was though, they usually crashed weddings and ended up exploding in the process. Okay, well, they didn't crash them. But, after a wedding is over, they go to where it was. Because pigeons mooch off of food that's on the ground. And it's a well known tradition to throw rice at weddings. Well, they'd eat the rice and explode. That was the bad hings about pigeons. They couldn't eat rice. Personally, Mitchel loved rice. It was really, really delicious. But, anyways, I'm sure not everyone would agree with him. Some people don't eat "carbs", so rice wouldn't really be something they'd particularly want to eat.
But, alas, his thoughts were broken by the sound of a girl's voice. Was she talking to him? Mitchel looked around a little bit, then noticed she was sitting next to him. He almost jumped. He's a little bit... well, stupid, for a lack of a better word, in that way. And he was probably the only one really wearing a backpack. "Oh, thanks," Mitchel said with a warm smile. The girl looked to be around his age. Hm... Maybe they'd be friends or something. Who really knew. And if they were in the same grade, when school started, maybe they'd have a few classes together. Anyways, may as well not think about school during the holidays. "I actually bought it at this random booth in the mall like, a few years ago. But, they still have loads of different ones there." He said this with a little bit of a nod, looking at what she was wearing. Hello Kitty. Hm, interesting. He quite liked Hello Kitty, actually. Well, you'd think that wasn't normal for a boy, but they had feelings too! Really, they did! It wasn't like boys were aliens from some other planet. Well, Mitchel might have been. People still weren't really sure about where he actually came from.
"They had a Hello Kitty one, last time I went there," Mitchel stated. He was sort of just stating it, not really aiming it at anyone. Then he ended up laughing a little bit. "I was actually going to maybe buy it, but I didn't have enough money." Well, who would've thought, right? But, he was only at the mall because he had to buy something for his mother that day. Because her birthday was coming up. And unlike the other two boys, he actually went and bought her a gift. It was the least he could do, really. After all, she'd saved him from the life of hell. Living in a trailer with a bunch of circus freaks and having to work setting up the big top and then selling popcorn. That was how he'd lived. It wasn't the best way of living, but it had been alright. He liked hanging out with the circus "freaks", so to call them. In fact, that was a good thing, in a way. He'd never be afraid of clowns. And well, he could tell his children not to be afraid. But, well, that would be weird. No one really knew that he'd lived with the circus. Except the people he was living with now. But, that wasn't something they'd go around telling other people. But, one day, maybe one day, people might find out.
