So what if this place was supposed to be haunted or whatever, that wasn't about to stop Stevey from investigating the Inn that had been calling her name since she'd gotten back. It was strange how much in her mind had changed since she'd lived here so long ago. As a kid she used to avoid this place as much as possible since she didn't want the ghosts to get her, now she was determined to become the best friend of one of the ghosts that lived here. It was a little bit of an odd thought yes, but to her it wasn't too abnormal. Actually, when it came to Stevey there really was nothing that was all that abnormal except for a feeling that doing anything odd was a weird thing to do. To her those who thought it was odd to be different were weird.
Anyway, she made her way up the stairs and slipped into the front door. All that she was worried about was going to be runnig into spider webs. In all truth, if she ever ended up being scared to death of anything it was spiders. They just seemed so dangerous to her. Putting her hands in front of her she started to walk. When she didn't run into anything she wasn't that surprised. Teens probably hung out here all the time. They probably just made up the whole haunted house thing so that the little kids wouldn't end up walking in on them getting drunk or high or something along those lines of things. It was with a small laugh that she started to explore a little bit more freely. It was funny the things that older people tell little kids just to try and keep them out of their hair. If she ever had kids, rather unlikely at this point, she wouldn't do that sort of a thing.
Running a finger through her multicolored bangs, she walked into what seemed to be a lounging area. There was still some furniture and it was covered. Perhaps the owner had planned on taking it away to storage or something like that and it had never made it. Well, whatever the reasoning was, they didn't seem like they were all that old looking and actually ended up being rather comfortable once she sat upon one of them. It was there that she decided to stay, at least for a little while. Her eyes were moving over the room she was in as she took in all the details of the place she'd once feared so much.

The Abandoned Inn. Ryan had heard so much talk about this place from the moment he'd arrived that he knew he pretty much had to check it out. Ryan was kind of weird like that. Anything strange, unusual, or supposedly haunted, he was immediately intrigued by. He always had been, and finding new unusual things in brand new places, well, he just couldn't wait. But, he hadn't particularly ever wanted to go by himself. It wasn't that he was scared, he didn't think, it was simply because exploring, and freaking out, are absolutely no fun when there was no one to share it with. He'd learned this through many years of being a somewhat nosy kid that loved anything strange. Now, taking on the old Abandoned Inn, well, it might be a great new challenge. Or, it could end up just being some cobweb-infested old Inn. Well, it would be that anyway.
Going back to my previous ramblings of Ryan never going exploring alone, well, technically he wouldn't be. Of course, the person that he was going to be exploring with, didn't quite know that he would be there. Stevey Mitchells, that girl was amazing. She was hysterical and awesome, and pretty much the coolest girl he would probably ever meet. Not to mention, one of his best friends in the entire world. But, being a best friend, it was only right for him to love to play tricks on her. Well, at least mess with her every once and a while. And that was exactly what he planned to do. The only thing that would suck was if she wasn't afraid at all. Then, she was just be pissed at him. Stevey pissed was never a good thing. But, he was willing to chance it.
Ryan zipped up his favorite black and White striped hoodie and placed his hands in his jean pockets as he neared the door of the old house, trying to be as quiet as he possibly could. Luckily, he didn't weigh much, and his torn old converse weren't the nosiest of shoes. These were both quite to his advantage as he watched Stevey enter the house from a little ways afar, back behind the trees. He felt like a stalker, but that definitely wasn't what he was doing. He quietly still walked up the old rickety steps before stealthily getting through the door, extremely quietly. What could he do to freak her out the most? Or, at least attempt to. He smirked slightly as he looked forward at the closet door in front of him. He wasn't in view of were Stevey was, he made sure of that, and quickly opened the closet door, slammed it, and then opened it once more, before running around to the other side of the Inn. He'd seen which way Stevey had gone, and he went to opposite. He was now at the bottom of the stairs, but he'd wait to see if he heard Stevey get up before he descended them. He couldn't help but smirk greatly at this.

It was with a small smile that Stevey leaned her head back in the chair for a moment. Suddenly she heard a sound somewhere. She raised her head up for a short moment and looked around for a short moment. After running a hand through her hair she bit her lip and slowly stood up. It wasn't that she was really scared well, of anything not living that is. Sure Stevey liked to think that she was a pretty tough girl, but she probably couldn't hold her own when somebody had a knife or gun to her. She sighed a little bit and looked around for a short moment. She wrapped her arms around herself and sighed. After a moment she decided to head in the direction of the door. If she was going to end up dieing, then well, she might as well do it having decided to face something that was a rather frightening ending.
As she walked she kept she bottom lip pressed to her teeth with her top teeth. It was with a small sigh that she let out a soft sigh and then took a few more steps forwards. "Hello!?" she called out to the house looking around for a short moment before looking around for a moment to see if she was going to end up being surrounded by a gang of people or something like that. Of course she thought she heard a footstep then, but that was probably just her mind playing tricks with here. It was amazing what the mind could do if you thought that one thing or another was going on around you. It was like when one made themselves sick by believing enough that they had a certain disease or just bug.
She moved into the next room and looked around. She would have flicked on the light that was right next to her shoulder, but she was sure that that wouldn't be any help at all. It was more then likely that the electricity was long since out here. She stepped into the room and looked around for a moment. It seemed as though this was the dinning room where they would serve the guests. She could imagine the different bodies moving around in the area. They all seemed like they were rather happy. She wondered if any of them were around still. She'd like to meet a ghost actually. It would make her rather happy.
