It had been a very long, interesting day. Micah Alberti had decided that he would stop by and visit his Aunt and Uncle for a little while. Little had he known, they had just had a huge falling out, and Micah was the only one around to pick up the little pieces. So, when he had finally made it back to the dorm, and found it empty, around nine o’clock, he decided that he would just crash. He was pretty much emotionally, and physically, spent. So he had pretty much fallen into bed as soon as he had entered his room, not bothering to undress or pull down the covers.
He had been asleep for about four hours when he finally woke up. He was cold. The airconditioning had been turned on. He rubbed his face with his hands, and exhaled. For some reason, he felt even more tired than he had been before. He sat up slowly, his head in his hands, and he sighed. He felt like crap, for some reason. Not sick, persay, but more like he was to that point he was so tired, he couldn’t go to bed. He stood up, and walked over to his dressers, opening one, and pulling out a dark green long sleeved shirt. He pulled off his t-shirt, and then pulled on the other shirt, before turning around, and looking over at Trinity’s bed.
Trinity. His best friend, they were practically inseperable. He loved the girl to death. She looked like she was asleep now, and Mic wondered where she had been when he had come back to the dorm. He walked back over to his bed, and sat down, grabbing his iPod off the counter above his bed, and he flipped it on, and started playing a song by The Afters. He didn’t want to wake Trinny up, especially if there was any chance that she was as tired as he was. Cuz that would just be mean. He hummed, low, along to the song, eyes closed. But still, sleep wouldn’t come.

Ergh, what a day, what a day. Trinity had gone out, actually. She was exploring a little bit. So, that was pretty cool. She'd met this guy. And she didn't particularly like him. So, she'd left after a while of bugging him and dumping her thoughts about things on him. Well, aruging could be fun. If you thought about it, people always disagreed on things! So, after that, she'd headed out and went to go dancing. Because everyone loves dancing! And, Trinity just so happened to be a real party girl. Of course, she would have invited Mic along, but he wasn't home and she didn't really want a tag along, just incase.
Well, after having a miserable time at the club, she'd headed back to the dorm. It was pretty late, actually. But, oh well. She'd went into the bedroom and had seen that her best friend, and roomie, was asleep. Well, that would suck. She wasn't entirely tired, but she'd attempt to sleep anyways. Trinity had quickly changed into a red tank top and a pair of black boxers and snuggled up under the covers of her bed. She'd actually ended up falling asleep within a few minutes, but it wasn't a heavy sleep, that was for sure.
Hearing the gentle sound of foot steps, Trinity stirred in her bed. She turned over in her bed, opening her eyes a bit and looking at the boy, giving him a weak smile. "Hey," Trinity said in a soft voice. She pulled the blanket off of her slim body and walked over to the boy's bed. Sitting down next to him, she smiled again. "What's up, why aren't you sleeping?" she asked. She knew him well enough to know that something was going on. And anyways, people don't just not sleep at times like this for no reason at all. It just wasn't how things worked.

It definitely hadn’t been one of the best days ever. After his aunt had been all cried out over the fight with her husband, she started crying about his mother. That was all he needed, and she’d been so bubbly and emotional over it, it had even got him a little teary. He always hated it when he cried, because he felt so vulnerable and weak. He didn’t like feeling weak. He supposed it was a bit of an ego problem, because Lord only knew how big his was. He needed to be knocked down off his pedestal a few notches.
But anyway, he had been crying, and then his uncle had come back, and rubbed the salt in the wound upon seeing them crying together. So, he figured it might be the end of their relationship. The things said weren’t something he’d like to remember, but he’d gotten so mad at him. He was proud to have been that ‘bitch’s son’. He had left, with more consolances to his Aunt, and drove around for a while, trying to clear his head, and pull himself together, trying to cause the anger to die a little. It was rough, but the repercussions still echoed a little in his mind. He hated his Uncle. He’d always thought he was better than everyone, anyway, and this gave him the perfect reason to breed resentment against him.
He slowly opened his eyes when he heard a very familiar voice through the quiet thrumming in his ears. He pulled out an earphone, and smiled tiredly at her. She looked absolutely beautiful, as usual, even in just a tank and boxers. He watched as Trin came to sit down by him, and he shrugged, saying, “I’m too tired to sleep.” The sentence probably didn’t make sense, but that was just how he was. Once he got to a certain tired point, he couldn’t go back to sleep, no matter how he tried. He knew she figured something was wrong with him, but he’d purposely avoided answering that directly. He wasn’t sure if the emotions he’d felt earlier would rise to the surface, and he would start either crying or being really angry again.

She looked down at the boy. If he didn't want to tell her, she wasn't going to force him. But, she was always there for him. The thing about people like them, though, was that they never wanted people to see them down. It was like you just had to be perfect. Because that's how the entire world saw you as; perfection. Even if they didn't ever let each other see each other down, they were still best friends and told one another basically everything. That was the crazy thing about it all. But, anyways, that wasn't really all that important, now was it? No, not at all.
Trinity gave him a small pout. "Awe, you poor baby!" she giggled, messing up his hair. "I can't sleep either. I'm too awake." Trinity sighed gently. It was true, actually. She still wanted to be out and dancing or drinking or something. But, it hadn't really been all that much fun at the club. It had seemed like all the boys were paired off with someone or they were just disgusting and nowhere near being her type of a guy. And she wouldn't even be caught dead talking to them. Even if she was drunk. Because, she wasn't going to ever get herself drunk enough to go off with some random, disgusting bloke. No, no. She had a reputation to maintain. And reputations were very important things when you were in high school. So, there really was no changing things.
"So," Trinity said, looking down at the boy's iPod. "What are you listening to?" She couldn't exactly read it. And the lighting in the room wasn't even enough to bother trying. It would actually be quite funny though, if he hadn't any idea what it was that he was listening to. But, maybe that was something that would happen to her? Well, sometimes you can't just help but forget what you're listening to because you get so into the music that it's just too much of a job to try and remember. Although, you'd think you would remember when you're sitting there singing along at the top of your lungs.

Mic sighed, and leaned his back against the wall, pushing some of his black hair out of his face. He did have a reputation to maintain, as well. He didn’t want to mar it in any way, because he liked the way people looked at him, and he liked the way he was. But, lately, everything had seemed more close to the surface, and he was doing things that weren’t like him. He as a major people person, but he seemed to be getting a little more distant from everyone. He had told no one that his father had been trying to contact him. He was refusing to take his calls.
Everytime ‘Dad’ flashed on the called ID screen, his heart beat slowed, and he felt cold. He had just left. Without a word. And then his mother had killed herself, and he had no idea what to think of his past, because of the beating that had made him lose his memory. He had flashes in dreams sometimes, and so far they all seemed happy, but who knew. Maybe his mind was just trying to keep out the bad. He smiled when Trinity ruffled his hair, and he reached out and did the same to her, sighing, “Well, then we’ll just have to keep each other company.” He said softly.
He looked down at his iPod, and flicked the hold switch so the backlight came on. He had started with the Afters, but now he didn’t know what he was listening to. As the light came on, he answered, “The Academy Is…” He replied, looking over at her, a smile still on his face. He loved music with all his heart. It was a passion of his, playing his guitar and singing. He sighed, a little more contented now that he was thinking about something he loved. Mic reached an arm across the bed, and looped it around Trin’s waist, and tugged her a bit closer to him, and he leaned her head against her shoulder, breathing in. She smelled good, he realized as he held her against his side.

"Sound good enough," she laughed, attempting to fix her hair. She was quite obsessive when it came to her hair. It had to be perfect. Even though it probably wasn't ever really perfect. But, it had to look good, it was. Well, it was just Mic and her there in the dorm, but still. You never know what might happen and you'll have to go out in your jammies. And it was always important that your hair was good. Like, going out without makeup was alright if it was completely necessary. Especially when you just used the stuff to make yourself stand out in a crowd when you didn't really need it. But, anyways.
She smiled at the choice of music, nodding her head gently. "Awesome," she said with a smile. "Tomorrow," Trinity began, "tomorrow we should put more music to my lyrics, yeah?" Yes, she quite liked when he helped her with her music. It was more fun with him anyways. In fact, he was probably one of the only people she actually ever showed her lyrics to. Oh yeah, that was really going to get her far in life. Oh well, it wasn't like it mattered all that much. Things would be alright. So, yeah. And she always had photography if she couldn't get into music. So, it was a good thing she had something to fall back on, because you never know what might happen in your life.
When he wrapped his arm around her waist, moving her closer, she smiled gently at him. He was like a little boy to her. A rather masculin little boy, but a little boy none the less. "Aw isn't Miccy Mouse just the cutest little thing ever!" Trinity teased, kissing him lightly on the head. She enjoyed fooling around with the boy. It was just like, well, she didn't know. It was just a lot of fun. Besides, she didn't have anyone else at the school that she was close to like she was with him. But, well, it was sort of silly. They ended up kissing a lot, and she really did love it. But, in the end, it just didn't mean anything.

Micah wasn’t usually obsessive with his looks…. Okay. Lie. Yeah, he was. He care about how he looked like, a lot, and he cared about what other people thought he looked like. He was just very caught up in the social hierarchy of highschool, and he wanted to maintain status. However, in the unstable state he was in now, he didn’t really care about he looked like. He was sure it wasn’t exactly best, because he had fallen asleep in his clothes, but he really didn’t care.
Mic nodded, saying, “Yeah, there pretty awesome.” He looked at her, and grinned, saying, “Yeah, if I can get to sleep sometime before 6 AM.” He would be way too wiped out to do anything except act like a zombie tomorrow if he didn’t get some sleep. But he would help her anyways. He loved reading her lyrics. They were meaningful, deep. He loved playing for her, and her singing. He really, really adored her voice. It was one of the things that got to him the first time he had tried putting music to her lyrics. It had sort of entranced him.
His face slowly morphed into a frown as she called him ‘Miccy Mouse’. Miccy Mouse? What the hell? Where had she come up with that new nickname? She could probably see the distaste for it on his face, but he wasn’t going to openly complain, if she was happy calling him that. He looked up at her when he kissed his head, and said, “Awh, thanks Trinny-bear. You’re pretty adorable yourself.” He said, nodding his head, laughing a little. He very much enjoyed fooling around with Trinity, and while it was all good and fun, part of him wanted more than just meaningless touches. But, he didn’t want to say anything, because she wasn’t sure whether or not Trinity wanted more than that, and he didn’t want to even think about losing her because he wanted something more than just friends-with-benefits. He would take it as it was, if that meant keeping his best friend with him.

Trinity pouted a little bit. "I never said we had to do it first thing or anything," she said. Besides, at this raet she'd probably end up falling asleep and sleep until at least two or three o'clock. She was one of those girls that could even sleep for twent-four hours if she was tired enough. "I'll probably be asleep longer than you anways," Trinity laughed. Well, she was quite likely to sleep longer than he was. And, wasn't it a fact that girls slept longer than boys?
When the boy called her "Trinny-bear", she stuck her tongue out at him. "Please," she giggled. "Sweeite, it's Vanity, not bear." Yeah, well, she was always known as "TrinnyVanity" simlpy because it was her name. Yeah, that's right. Her middle name was Vanity. What her mother and father were thinking when they'd decided to give her a name, she didn't know. But, well, the Vanity part of her name seemed to fit because she was all for it.
It was probably around one thirty by this point in time. Trinity stifled a yawn, looking over at him with a gentle smile. "you think if we sleep in the same bed we'll be able to sleep?" she asked, looking at him. It was just a way of staying next to the boy a while longer. She was actually sort of cold but maybe he was cold. And she was pressed against him, after all.
((This takes the cake for suckyness. Sorry!))

Micah laughed at her pout, and said, “I know, I know. Yeah. We’ll definitely work on it tomorrow. I promise.” He was getting more tired by the second, and he knew it would be easy to fall asleep when he chose to. But, the way he was going, it wouldn’t be long until he was drop dead tired again. Trinity’s presence had calmed him down enough that he could do so.
As she stuck her tongue out at him, he felt himself stick his tongue out back. Sure, it was childish reflex, but, being childish was fun, and he smirked as he said, “Always TrinnyBear to me, love.” He would call her TrinnyBear as long as she called him Miccy Mouse, which would most likely be a while. But, while he didn’t care that much, he wondered if she really cared when he called her TrinnyBear. He sighed, moving his head a little on her shoulder, arm tugging her a little tight against his body.
He felt her stifle a yawn beside him, and in response, his own mouth widened, and he frowned. He was definitely tired now. He shrugged, saying, “Well.. I don’t know, but I definitely wouldn’t mind.” And he truly wouldn’t. He loved being near her, and it made him very happy. He was kind of cold, as well. He couldn’t remember turning on the air conditioning, but it was running, and it was making tiny goosebumps rise up on his arms. He got up off the bed, then lightly tugged her off, and pulled down the covers, grinning as he did so, and gesturing towards the bed, saying, “Ladies first.”

Trinity wrinkled her nose a little bit at the boy. Well, she didn't so much mind it. As long as the nickname didn't catch on, she was fine. Because, she really didn't know how she felt about being called a bear at this point in time. Although, it could be like cmoparing her to a teddy bear. Which wasn't always a bad thing. Because that would mean that she was extremely adorable and huggable!
Nodding her head gently, she gave him a warm smile. She rarely ever did that for people. But, well, he was her best friend. So, it was alright. She willingly let him tug her off the bed. "Why thank you my lovely Miccy Mouse," she giggled, getting into the bed and scooching over a bit so the boy could get in. The beds weren't really all that big. Meant for one person. But, that just meant that they'd be closer. And if Trinity ended up falling off the bed, she would totally end up blaming Micah. It was just how things would be.

Yes, yes. Trinity was his little, adorable, loveable, teddy bear. He liked that descripion of her, and she fit it very well. And he wasn’t mean enough to say it in public, because he knew that most people would pick up on it if he called her that, and it was only okay when he said it. Why? Because he said so, of course. And he would beat anyone up if they said otherwise. Well, not really. He wasn’t that violent. But he would get mad.
He shrugged, ignoring the use of his apparently new nickname, and said, “Anytime, my dear.” He smiled back at her, returning warmness with warmness. God, she had such a pretty smile. He crawled under the covers with her, and pulled them over their heads. He looked at her in the darkness, making out he edges of her face, and he grinned, seized with the sudden urge kiss her. So he leaned forward, slowly, a hand reaching out and cupping her chin, and touched his lips, softly to hers, slow, undemanding. Just kind of like a good night kiss.

Well, if he was going to give her a kiss, she may as well return it. And she did. Trinity kissed him back gently, before seperating their lips and snuggling into him, resting her head against his chest. This was actually quite nice. Trinity closed her eyes, her head still resting on his chest. She was terribly tired. But, she couldn't help it. It had been a long day, actually. Oh well, anyways. Soon she was fast asleep. Dreaming wonderful, wondeful dreams. Maybe.
Trinity woke up, not really moving all that much. What time was it? Probably about three-ish. You could never really be all that sure. But, it didn't matter. But, something was different than when she had went to sleep. She could have sworn that she'd went to sleep in Mic's bed. And she was still there. But, well, he wasn't. Trinity pulled herself out of the bed and made her way out of the room to the main part of the dorm. Sighing a little bit, she looked around. Where was that boy? He wasn't in the bathrooms and he was nowhere to be seen anywhere else.
She was sort of worried about the boy, actually. You would have at least expected him to leave her a note, but no. Nothing. He'd just gotten up and left. Well, that was always a great thing to do. Leave your best friend to worry about you. Sighing a little bit, trying not to think about it, Trinity went over to the couch and sat down on it, pulling her legs close to her and hugging them. She grabbed the television remote and turned it on, sighing again.

He smiled as she returned his kiss, and then he wrapped an arm around her waist as she snuggled close to him. It felt good, having her this close. Her breathing slowly lulled his eyes closed. He wasn’t quite asleep yet, but he mumbled something under his breath, incoherently, and then fell asleep, gentle snores coming from his mouth, not loud or annoying or anything.
Despite being very tired, and sleeping very deeply, he woke up around one PM. He lay in bed for a little bit, not wanting to disturb Trinity, but when he had sneezed very suddenly, and she hadn’t even stirred, Micah had gotten up, and changed into his basketball shorts, and t-shirt, deciding he would go for a run, just to be alone for a little while. He’d been disappearing more and more often lately, just to have time to himself, and listen over and over those messages on his phone his father was constantly leaving. But, he didn’t’ want to think about his father today, so he had left his cell phone lying beside his bed.
He had turned around and was starting on his way back, when his dad called the first time. The phone rang and rang, but he didn’t leave a message. Then again, then three times, and then four. His father was trying for the annoy him til he picks up method. Couldn’t he just get the picture that Micah didn’t want to have anything to do with the man?

Basically Trinity wasn't even really watching the television. She was just sort of staring at the screen. Of course, she'd put it on "Much Music", which was the music station, obviously. And there were some music videos on and she was just sort of listening to the music and not really watching the videos. One day, she might decide to make a music video. All in good fun of course. But, well, yeah.
Of course, it's pretty annoying when there's a phone that won't stop ringing. But, it wasn't the dorm phone, and it wasn't her cell phone. So, it was obviously Micah's phone. She wouldn't pick it up. The person could just leave him a message. But, apparently someone was being really persistent with all this calling. And it was really annoying, actually. So, just to get it to stop, she may as well answer the phone. Getting up from the couch, Trinity walked over to the bedroom and picked up the phone.
Trinity click the talk button on the phone. She wasn't even really thinking about it as his phone, really. It was just really annoying that he wasn't there and the person wuoldn't stop calling. "Hello?" Trinity said. She didn't show any signs of annoyance in her voice. That would be sort of mean, actually. Because when people are annoyed and they show it on the phone, well, eh. And really, it would be odd since they didn't really know one another.

Micah was already half way there, but he had gotten sidetracked. He thought he had seen some dog on the side of the road, and he decided he would see if it was okay. He would never tell anyone, but he secretly loved animals. He was very kind-hearted towards them, and would probably take in any stray, once he got out of school and out of the dorms. He’d probably end up being one of those crazy people that lived alone with a million animals to keep them company.
So, he wasn’t aware that his phone was ringing off the hook back at his dorm. He didn’t count on him calling, anyway. It’d been a day or so since the last, and he thought maybe his father had finally gotten the picture. But, no. And now, well. This was going to end up being interesting, and Micah wouldn’t appreciate it very much now, as he couldn’t find the dog and was heading back to his dorm once more.
Mr. Alberti, Jason, if you wanted to be informal, was surprised at the female voice answering his son’s phone. Jason was one of those people that jumped to conclusions way too quickly, and two things jumped into his mind at that moment: his son was a man-whore and he was sleeping with a girl, who had just answered his phone. After his shocked silence, Jason cleared his throught, and said into the mouth piece, the first thing that came to his mind. He was a very rude man, along with being a complete prick, “Is he sleeping with you?” He cursed into the phone, and said, “Like mother, like son, I suppose.”
